The Westphalian town of Bünde is a tranquil and cozy place. Today it has around 45,000 inhabitants, but Bünde was not always so peaceful and tranquil. The reason for the wealth of this small town was the astonishingly large number of cigar manufacturers, which benefited greatly from the cheap labor in the country and the important proximity to the city of Bremen.
